Lee
Cornell-Lead Vocals/Guitar
Lee began playing guitar at age 13. He actually learned from a one-armed guitar instructor. Ask him to tell you the story. He has been a lead singer and played in many bands over the past 30+ years, including Hot Cobb, The Lee Jason Band, Festival, Majestic Sun, Trixx and now Rockenstein. After winning the "Eagle National Talent Search" he appeared twice on the very popular 1990’s television program “Nashville Revue” as a solo vocalist pop/country artist in Nashville, TN. Even though Lee won competitions as a country/pop singer, his real love is classic rock and roll. Musical influences include The Beatles, Tom Petty, classic rock and country rock. He also trained classically on violin for 7 years. And yes, he’s 6’ 9”. Don’t ask. It pisses him off.
Bruce Coombs-Bass Guitar/Lead Vocals
Born and raised in Frankfort, IN, Bruce started as a young guitarist in a country music act. He then moved on to percussion which then lead him into becoming a bassist in 1977. In 1980, he helped found the band Stitch. He is also known for his work with Majestic Sun (along with with Lee Cornell), Bodacious, The Passion, Ezra and Stone 10, playing in nearly every "hot" club in and around Indianapolis over the past 30 years. With a wonderful sense for groove, Bruce knows what it takes to get the crowd and the party going. Also an accomplished vocalist, Bruce contributes to the band as a lead and harmony singer on a large selection of tunes. He enjoys a wide variety of styles, but attributes his abilities to the Blues. Bruce has the ability to master rhythm and is the solid "feel it in your chest" backbone for Rockenstein.
Dale
Pearson-Lead Guitar/Keyboards/Lead Vocals
Dale has been playing guitar, keyboards and singing for
over 30 years . A highly sought after lead guitarist in the Indianapolis music
scene for many years, Dale has been the guy that shreds the guitar solos in many
bands - including Stone 10, The Tom Martin Band, Rockin' Horse and many others
over his long playing career. He also has been a private guitar instructor for
several years and has taught many aspiring guitar players how to play rock,
blues, jazz and country. Dale enjoys and can play any style of music, but lists
his major influences as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. Come
on out and listen to a truly gifted musician as he rips the leads on the guitar,
keyboard and vocals in Rockenstein.
Galen
Moore-Drums/Percussion
Galen got her first drum set and started playing in bands at age 13, through High School and then on to college for two years to study music. After college she continued to play as a live performer with bands and as a session drummer, having been recorded on over 100 albums with many bands. She played for six years with the country/pop band “Michelle Cole and Dark Horse” and opened for such country greats as Clay Walker, Paul Bryant, and Martina Mc Bride. Galen also played in an “Elvis Tribute Artist” band and recorded a live concert CD in Memphis. For fourteen years she performed in the pit orchestra doing various musicals for Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis. A true professional, be prepared to "feel the power" of what a truly talented drummer like Galen brings to Rockenstein.
